Project introduction:
The water clock is an ancient timer. The principle is to realize timing by using the approximately constant flow rate of water under certain conditions.
The following is a simple version of the teaching.
List of materials:
- 2 water bottles
- 2 drinking straws
- Tailoring tool
- Hot melt glue gun
Instructions
Step
Paste bottle cap
It is safer to paste the two bottle covers together with a hot melt glue gun, and then use adhesive paper to collage.

Add drinking straw
Drill two holes in the bottle cap to put the drinking tube, the length of the drinking tube is 2.5cm and 5cm respectively

Finish and test
Finally, fill one of the water bottles with water, then twist the cap to connect the two water bottles, and you are done!
Just calculate the time it takes for water to flow from one bottle to another, and you can know how much time this timer can measure.
You can challenge and improve it, and then make a timer of your own.
